EMMY AWARDS 2023 – ECCO TUTTE LE NOMINATION! (2023)

La preparazione della 75ª edizione dei Primetime Emmy Awards è stata a dir poco storica. Le nomination per gli Emmy Awards 2023 vengono annunciate nello stesso giorno in cui gli attori di Hollywood si preparano a scioperare se il loro sindacato SAG-AFTRA non riuscirà a trovare un accordo con gli studios entro la mezzanotte. Tutto questo, naturalmente, mentre la WGA (Writer’s Guild) è entrata nell’undicesima settimana di sciopero.

I due sindacati rappresentano una grossa fetta della spina dorsale dell’industria e stanno lottando per ottenere salari equi, un aumento dei pagamenti residui per far fronte alle complessità dello streaming e protezioni creative contro l’uso dell’intelligenza artificiale negli studios. Se la SAG-AFTRA dovesse scioperare, sarebbe la prima volta in 63 anni che sia gli attori che gli sceneggiatori si ritrovano a picchettare per controversie contrattuali.

L’Accademy della Televisione si trova quindi in una situazione molto strana. L’ente di premiazione deve ancora presentare le nomination per il 2023, ma gli Emmy Awards 2023 veri e propri potrebbero essere rinviati alla fine di quest’anno o addirittura al gennaio 2024. Considerando che gli studios e gli streamer non stanno mostrando alcun segno positivo di negoziazione con gli attori e gli sceneggiatori, sembra che l’attesa per la cerimonia di premiazione vera e propria sarà molto lunga dopo che le nomination degli Emmy Awards 2023 saranno state rivelate oggi.

Ovviamente, lo sciopero di due dei maggiori sindacati di Hollywood significa anche che tutte le produzioni cinematografiche e televisive andranno in pausa e subiranno ritardi, poiché gli attori e gli sceneggiatori saranno incoraggiati a rimanere nei picchetti in segno di solidarietà.
